folk is free. you do not need a card or subscription to use it, and new paid subscriptions are not currently offered.

what's included

• the standard allowance is 100 messages a day across your personal chats and channels
• characters, memory, apps, research, the browser, and connected services
• up to 3 things running in the background to start, such as skills, routines, and watchers
• 10 call minutes a week on the standard free allowance
• one-time reminders do not use a background slot

messages reset at your local midnight. your account can have additional allowances, so check plan & billing for your current limits and reset times.

images, videos, and other limits

some features have separate allowances. image and video generation have daily limits and monthly credit budgets. one generation can use more than one credit; a credit count is not a count of finished images or videos.

when a limit blocks a request, folk shows the allowance and how to recover it. a friend signing up through your invite link can restore an allowance or add a slot. sharing the link alone does not unlock it, and your friend does not need to pay.

existing subscriptions

if you already have a subscription, you can manage or cancel it in dashboard → menu → plan & billing. an existing billing record does not mean a new subscription is required to use folk.
