Gon Freecss is the main character of Hunter × Hunter, the manga by Yoshihiro Togashi. He grows up on Whale Island, raised by his Aunt Mito, and decides to become a Hunter so he can find his father, Ging Freecss, who is a Hunter himself.

Gon is known for his cheerful, direct nature and for his friendship with Killua, whom he meets while taking the Hunter Exam. His determination drives much of the story, and his Jajanken, a power attack based on rock, paper, scissors, is one of his best known techniques.
